PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how Therapy with Emilee, PLLC ("I," "me") handles information collected through therapywithemilee.com. If you become a client, how your health information is protected is explained in my Notice of Privacy Practices, which you'll receive during intake. That notice, not this website policy, governs your clinical records.

What I collect

  • Therapy Interest Form: the information you enter, such as your name, contact details, state and what's bringing you to therapy. This form is hosted through Google Workspace under a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.

  • Email & contact forms: anything you send me. Regular email isn't fully secure, so please keep sensitive details for the interest form or our consultation call.

  • Newsletter & forms on the site: if you choose to sign up or submit a Squarespace form, Squarespace collects the information you enter.

  • Automatic information: Squarespace collects basic data such as browser, device, pages visited and approximate location, using cookies, so I can see how the site is used.

How I use it

To respond to you, schedule a free consultation, decide together whether we're a good fit, send anything you've signed up for, and keep the site working well. I don't use your information for advertising, and I don't sell or rent it.

Who I share it with

Only the services that run the site and my practice (Squarespace and Google Workspace), or when the law requires it, for example if someone's safety is at risk.

Your choices

  • You can ask me to update or delete information you've submitted through the site by emailing hello@therapywithemilee.com. Records for clients are kept as state law and professional rules require.

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Security

I use HIPAA-compliant tools for client information and reasonable safeguards for the website, but no website or email is completely secure.

Not for emergencies

Messages and forms are not monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes & contact
