Maybe you’re used to being the one who keeps everything okay.

You notice when someone’s tone changes. You replay conversations, wonder if you said the wrong thing & think about everyone else’s needs before your own.

Maybe you’re anxious, overwhelmed or exhausted from thinking so much. Maybe relationships feel harder than you think they “should.” Or maybe you’ve gotten really good at understanding everyone else—but you’re not always sure what you feel, need or want.

You don’t have to become less caring. We can get curious about why these patterns developed, untangle the ones that aren’t working anymore & make more room for you in your own life.

What we might work on together

These tend to overlap, so you don’t need to know which one fits before reaching out.

People-pleasing

When keeping everyone else happy starts costing you your own needs, boundaries, energy or ability to know what you actually want.

When your brain is constantly anticipating, analyzing, preparing or wondering what could go wrong—even when everything seems okay.

Anxiety therapy →

When childhood experiences of inconsistency, rejection or disconnection shaped how you learned to navigate relationships.

Therapy for attachment wounds →

Relationships & relational trauma

When relationships bring up overthinking, conflict avoidance, or the feeling that you’re responsible for keeping everything okay.

Relational trauma therapy →

Religious trauma

When religion, faith or leaving a belief system has affected your identity, relationships, safety or ability to trust yourself.

WHAT DOES THERAPY WITH ME LOOK LIKE?

Therapy with me is relational, collaborative & curious. I’m not going to sit silently on the other side of the screen while you wonder if you’re doing therapy “right.” We’ll be serious: we’ll explore your patterns and get curious about what your emotions & reactions might be trying to tell us. But we’ll also have fun: we’ll yap about recent shows you’ve been watching & we’ll laugh (a lot).

Sometimes we might explore a recent trigger & try to understand where a pattern came from. Sometimes we might problem-solve around a present issue, figuring out how you want to communicate your needs. And a lot of the times, we’ll be making room for emotions you’ve learned to avoid & we’ll slow down enough for you to feel them. And when it makes sense for the work we’re doing, we can also incorporate EMDR.

All sessions are virtual, so you can meet with me from anywhere in Texas where you have a private space & a reliable internet connection.

ONLINE THERAPIST FOR WOMEN IN TEXAS

I’m Emilee Crowder, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual therapy to women throughout Texas. I specialize in people-pleasing, anxiety, attachment wounds, relational trauma & religious trauma.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed & very human. I care about understanding why your patterns make sense—not just giving you another list of things you’re supposed to fix about yourself. I’m also trained in EMDR & can incorporate it into our work when it feels useful.

Most importantly, you don’t have to perform therapy correctly with me. You can show up unsure of what to talk about, laugh about something five minutes after crying about it & tell me when something I say doesn’t land. We’ll figure it out together.
